– Diamond Stitch/FPTR 2 Together –
The Diamond Stitch is made out of Frontpost Treble 2 together (FPTR 2TOG) The pattern is especially beautiful with an accent colour for the FPTR stitches.

Instructions
Wrap your yarn around the hook twice.


Insert your hook behind the stem of the stitch – wrap the yarn aournd your hook and pull back through. You now have 4 loops on your hook..
Wrap the yarn around your hook and pull through two loops – you now have 3 loops on your hook.
Wrap the yarn around your hook again and pull through two loops – you now have 2 loops on your hook.
Wrap the yarn around your hook again and pull through two loops – you now have 2 loops on your hook.

Wrap the yarn around your hook and pull through two loops – you now have 4 loops on your hook.
Wrap the yarn around your hook again and pull through two loops – you now have 3 loops on your hook.
Wrap your yarn around your hook and pull through all three loops closing the stitch.
Wrap the yarn around your hook again and pull through two loops – you now have 3 loops on your hook.
Wrap your yarn around your hook and pull through all three loops closing the stitch.

The Diamond Stitch is based on the Frontpost Treble 2 Together technique. If you want to try it out, you can follow this instruction:
- Foundation Chain 4+3 SC – TURN
- 1 DC in each stitch – TURN
- 1 SC – 1 FPTR in 4th SC from right – *3 SC – 1 FPTR 2tog around same SC + 4th from that* – continue till you have 5 stitches left – 3 SC – 1 FPTR in 4th SC from left – TURN
- 1 DC in each stitch – TURN
- *3 SC – 1 FPTR 2tog around the two FPTR stitches* – 3 SC – TURN
Repeat steps 2-5 till you have the desired length.
