Crocheted Yoga Socks

I have only recently become very passionate about yoga, but I am already reaping the benefits. However like crochet the lingo is confusing to begin with – I looked like a giant question mark the first time the instructor told us to do the spider pose?!
For those of you who do not know this either, you “basically” balance on your arms while your legs are stretched out in front of you… needles to say I do not master this yet!?
However this blog is about crocheting so back to the important thing.

Most sports accessories cannot be crocheted, but I discovered that in yoga you need particular socks. So YAY…. I am going to make a pair.
Yoga socks and regular ones differ as your toes and heels are not covered due to the fact that you still need to be able to “stick” to the floor while practicing yoga.
I wanted to experiment with the Bullion Stitch in this project, but they looked so slanted. Then I came up with the idea to twirl the yarn around a hair pin – you can find my tutorial HERE.
This little trick definitely made a difference and after having made 132 in total I would claim to master it now.
